INGREDIENTS (serves 6)
2 cups of baking chocolate chopped in cubes or semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
1 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 3/4 cups flour
3 tbs cocoa powder
1 tbs vanilla extract
1/2 tbs salt
1/2 cup chopped macadamia nuts
PREPARATION: Place 1 cup of the baking chocolate and the butter in “baño maría” until melted.
Allow to cool to room temperature and then blend in the electric mixer at medium speed, gradually adding the sugars, vanilla and salt. Continue by adding the eggs, one by one, followed by the flour and cocoa until you achieve a homogenous mixture. Finally, mix the remaining cup of chocolate chips and the macadamia nuts in . Pour the mixture into a 30×20 cm floured cake mold and bake at 375 degrees for approximately 40 mins. Allow the brownies to cool. Serving suggestion: pair with vanilla ice-cream.
