Tropical Tuna Tartar

Tuna Tartar is an exquisite blend of French technique and Japanese ingredients.  This beef tartar adaptation takes the light, fresh components of Japanese cuisine for a refreshingly healthy dish.  The smooth, firm texture of the tuna, tangy-sweet mango accents and buttery avocado are a delightful fusion of flavors.  Plus, this no cook recipe uses 6 simple ingredients and is ready is 3 easy steps!

Preparation: 1) Cut the avocado, mango and tuna into small cubes.  2) In a recipient, mix the tuna with salt, cumin and lime juice.  Allow to marinate.  3) To serve, set the mold on a plate and fill with about a 1/3 cup of mango, pressing it firmly to form the bottom layer.  Add a layer of tuna over the mango followed by a top layer of avocado, using the same procedure for each layer.  4) Slowly, slide the mold off to achieve the cylindric shaped Tuna Tartar.
